BR3E

BR3E is a Western Sydney-based artist and producer who challenges her own boundaries and invites listeners to do the same. She takes her audience on a journey of self-discovery that pushes beyond her comfort zone to show that vulnerability can be healing, not harmful.

Inspired by artists like Sleeping At Last and Talia Mar, BR3E’s honest lyrics resonate with dependent independents - those who often choose logic over feelings, yet still crave emotional connection.

BR3E's Story

BR3E has always been surrounded by music. Since a young age, she was put into piano and singing lessons but soon left them because she didn't like being told what to do. When she was in Year 3, she started playing the alto-saxophone for the school band which continued throughout all of her primary and high school years.

It wasn't until the COVID lockdown in 2020 that BR3E started writing music out of boredom - and some may say insanity. Inspired by deep conversations with her friends, and the copious amount of time she had to reflect on her life, she wrote lyrics about anything and everything. When lockdown was over, she returned to her highschool noticing a recording studio has been built. In BR3E's free periods, she'd spend them in this room figuring out how to use logic and to record live equipment. It was here she made and released her first songs, all of which can still be found on her Soundcloud. From there, other students wanted songs recorded and asked BR3E to help them, this is where she found her love for production.

After graduating high school, BR3E started her Bachelor of Music specialising in Production at JMC Academy. Through the help of lecturers and peers, she continued to build her portfolio of collaborative and individual works across a variety of genres. She's discovered a love for radio, along with film, tv and game music due to the amount of layers and thinking that goes into it.

BR3E's currently working on her debut 6 track EP 'Unbothered for Bullshit' which explores how toxicity, both internal and external, can impact an individual. Her track from the EP, 'Uncomfortable skin' was nominated for the Cassette Awards for Outstanding Instrumental Performance.
